Mission:

The Mount Meru Foundation wants to contribute to improving mother and child care in Africa. The Foundation wants to share its expertise and experience in obstetrics and ultrasound scans with colleagues in Africa.

The Foundation wants to use the funds received for the training of ultrasound technicians and the purchase of ultrasound equipment that will be made available to colleagues in Africa.

The board members receive no allowances.

Support last year:

Mount Meru Foundation received financial support in 2019 from various people and companies. The board members have not declared any expenses for their activities and have not received any reimbursements.

Donations:

The Foundation has received a number of donations after the donors were approached personally.

A number of acquaintances have donated their received birthday money to the Foundation.

Our website administrator has donated the costs for the website.

Interest-free loan

In 2017, the Foundation received an interest-free loan of 5,000 euros from a donor. 1000 euros of the loan is donated annually.

Activities:

Money has come in through the sale of homemade hair bands. A sponsor trip at the WTC Cycling Club in Zijtaart was held for the Foundation. The film house in Kollum shot a film for the Foundation and the set up packaging campaign also generated a good amount.

Training costs “Adopt an ultrasound technician”:

In 2019 our first 3 candidates started the 3 monthly ultrasound training at the Academic Hospital at the KCMC in Moshi. The Foundation then provided hands-on training for another month.

Bank charges:

Every month costs have to be paid to the bank for both accounts.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it can be said that the Foundation will have a negative balance of 795.48 euros in 2019. The balance of the payment and savings account on 01-01-2019 was 5461.15 euros. In 2019, there were a number of donors and funds were received through a few sponsor campaigns and the other donations.
The balance on the payment and savings accounts on 31-12-2019 was 4665.67 euros.
